Kodak Max Versatility 400 - A Low Cost Negative Film that Worth a Try

Today I'm gonna share this negative film , Kodak Max Versatility with 400 iso. Though it is not as well-known as other consumption level negative film under the name of Kodak like Ultra Max 400 , it still worth a try for film lovers. And yes, I mean it.

At the very early time of my journey to the world of film , I purchased a dozen of expired Kodak Max Versatility. The only reason is they came with a really low price that a newbie film shooter can't reject. The best thing is, the result "wow" me as much as the price, especially for a film which expired almost a decade!

If you're looking for the finest grain in the world, or some vivid colour, Kodak Ektar or Kodak Portra is still your best option despite their terrifying price. My love to Kodak Max Versatility is based on it is a long-time expired film in consumption level. The performance is really beat the price. Is it worth? Hell yeah I think.

With suitable light conditions, you will have an image with quite saturated color, especially for red color. It is pity that the images always come with some blueish tone, but again, it is a long time expired film. So I can't blame it, right?

The grain is fine but I don't think it is enough to handle professional shooting. Compare the price and performance, it is really worth to give it a try, for street, for your pets, or just feed it to your hungry camera for anything else.
